Similar to the general psychological evaluation, Dr. Tucker will conduct a one hour Sleep Disorders Evaluation to learn about your sleep patterns, habits, and challenges. From there, he will diagnose you and create a comprehensive plan tailored to your sleep needs.
Dr. Tucker often uses CBT as the front line treatment for common sleep disorders such as insomnia. This practice may include changing pre-bedtime behavior and thoughts, and improving relaxation skills and lifestyle habits. Other sleep disorders such as sleep apnea and narcolepsy will usually require a medical approach to treatment.
